From Victim to Voice.

From Grief to Justice.I’m Gail Hadfield Grainger, the founder of GHG Legal Consultant and an Accredited Police Station Representative

But before I ever studied law or stepped into a police station to defend someone else, I sat on the other side — as a woman, a mother, a partner bereaved by police violence. In 2012, my partner, Anthony Grainger, was shot dead by Greater Manchester Police while sitting in a car.

  • He was unarmed.
  • I had to fight for the truth.
  • It was life-changing.
  • The police were to blame

That moment didn’t just take someone I loved — It almost destroyed me, but at the same time it lit a fire in me to fight back.Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to standing up for those seriously failed by the system, especially at the point where the damage begins: the police station.

Why Do I Do This?

Most legal representatives rely on textbooks. I rely on lived experience, legal training, education, and a relentless drive to protect people from the system that nearly destroyed me.

Yes, I’ve earned degrees in many areas, including:

  • Law
  • Criminology
  • A Master’s in the Criminal Justice Process

But what truly sets me apart is this:

I know what it’s like to be the one who needs defending.

"And I never forget that."

What I Stand For?

  • I speak up when others stay silent.
  • I challenge the police — I don’t cooperate with them.
  • I make the system explain itself — not the people caught inside it.

Whether you’ve just been arrested, you’re facing court, or grieving a death involving the state

"I will stand with you."

GHG Legal Is Built on One Truth:

Justice isn’t about jargon. It is about people.

And I fight for those the system too often tries to silence.
